About This Course

Join Gerard Greene for a comprehensive **Four-Day equivalent Men’s Health Physiotherapy Programme**, expanded specifically for Malaysia: **One Day equivalent of Online Learning followed by Three Days of practical, face-to-face training**. The online module becomes available approximately **FOUR WEEKS before the course**, building essential foundations so that face-to-face sessions can focus on hands-on skills, clinical reasoning and practical application. Bridge musculoskeletal, sports and pelvic health practice through external male pelvic floor assessment and treatment, covering pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, erectile and sexual dysfunction, post-prostatectomy rehabilitation, male athletic pelvic health, and young erectile dysfunction and Hard Flaccid Syndrome. A dedicated advanced clinical day explores Focused Shockwave Therapy and real-time transabdominal and transperineal ultrasound imaging—“Making the Invisible Visible”—including patient selection, safety and integration into rehabilitation. With demonstrations, supervised practice and real clinical case discussions in smaller groups, build the confidence to assess, treat and develop Men’s Health Physiotherapy within your own practice. **Suitable for physiotherapists and appropriately qualified clinicians. No previous pelvic health experience required.**

Instructor

Gerard Greene is a specialist Men’s Health Physiotherapist, educator and international course tutor with a particular interest in advancing the assessment and treatment of male pelvic health conditions. Gerard is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Coventry University, UK and leads specialist Men’s Health Physiotherapy clinics in London and Birmingham, UK. His clinical practice focuses exclusively on male pelvic health, including post-prostate cancer rehabilitation, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, persistent pelvic and perineal pain, pudendal neuralgia, sexual dysfunction and complex male pelvic floor disorders. Alongside his clinical work, Gerard has developed an extensive international teaching profile, delivering postgraduate physiotherapy education in the UK and internationally, including Europe, Japan, Canada, USA and South Africa. His teaching is strongly clinically focused, with an emphasis on translating emerging evidence and specialist assessment techniques into practical approaches clinicians can use with their patients. He has also delivered Men’s Health Teaching for prestigious organisations such as The Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (USA APTA), The Japanese Physical Therapy Association (JPTA) and South African Society of Physiotherapy. He has also presented on male pelvic health at various national and international conferences. A major focus of Gerard’s work has been encouraging the use and teaching of ultrasound imaging within Men’s Health Physiotherapy. Through his teaching philosophy of “Making the Invisible Visible” with Dr Alime Buyuk, Gerard encourages clinicians to move beyond simply assuming what the male pelvic floor is doing and instead use real-time ultrasound imaging to visualise function, improve clinical reasoning and provide patients with meaningful visual biofeedback. Gerard has also been at the forefront of developing the physiotherapy application of Focused Shockwave Therapy (FSWT) within Men’s Health. His clinical and educational work explores its role in erectile dysfunction, persistent pelvic pain and other complex male pelvic health presentations, integrating focused shockwave within a broader rehabilitation approach rather than viewing it as a stand-alone treatment. Gerard is passionate about raising the profile of Men’s Health Physiotherapy internationally and developing a new generation of clinicians with the confidence, clinical reasoning and practical skills to provide high-quality care for men with pelvic health and sexual health conditions. His goal is simple: to make Men’s Health Physiotherapy more visible, more measurable, and more accessible both for clinicians and for the men who need it.
